Vitali Braun brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Altair Enterprises. Having completed his aerospace engineering studies in 2010, he embarked on a remarkable journey in the field of space research and development. Vitali joined the team at the Institute of Aerospace Systems, Technische Universität Braunschweig, Germany, as a research associate, focusing his efforts on the critical area of modeling the space debris environment.
During his time at the institute, Vitali played a pivotal role in the development of software aimed at facilitating risk assessments for space missions and exploring potential scenarios for the evolution of the space debris environment. His dedication to advancing the field led him to delve into the domain of space surveillance and tracking, ultimately earning him a well-deserved Dr.-Ing. (PhD) degree in 2016.
In 2015, Vitali Braun's expertise caught the attention of the European Space Agency (ESA), where he began working at the esteemed Space Debris Office. At ESA, he has made significant contributions to the continuous development of the European space debris reference model known as MASTER. This influential model serves as a cornerstone in space debris mitigation efforts and is widely utilized by organizations worldwide to ensure compliance with necessary requirements.
Vitali's outstanding achievements, coupled with his dedication to advancing space debris management and his expertise in aerospace engineering, make him an invaluable addition to our advisory board.
